You've never really felt at home in The Abyss.
Your father, er, the Demon King... he's always been cold, but he's only gotten worse with time. You feel like you spend every day running from something. Whether its your past, your responsibility, or even yourself... but you can never quite escape.
That's why, when you catch an adventurer wandering the upper layers of your home, you decide to accompany her descent. She needs safe passage, and you'll never learn the truth of the world around you by moping alone.
The journey doesn't scare you. You don't fear the depths. You're only scared of what they might bring up from within you.

This was a wonderful read, thank you so much for pouring yourself out like this for everyone, and I wish you the best~ keeping an eye out for Silicon Daydreams, if it ever becomes manifest
i stumbled on this game yesterday and i did enjoy my time and it was well written but there were a couple parts that frustrated me immensely mostly because they didnt live up to the quality of the rest of the experience.
it was a good read regardless tho
I just wanted to say that I absolutely adored this game, and I'm just sooooo happy it exists. I didn't realize it was a trans story when I downloaded it, but as a transwoman, it made me reallllly happy ^^. You did a great job writing this!
A great game, but only until the point where I destroy the throne's orb. The next link I can click leads to a dead end, the game does not progress anymore!
I’d recommend reading the rest of the comments.
As a hint: Look for ‘Time’
"I never thought I'd be marrying my childhood friend turned antagonist turned lover who was also a princess all along"
Damn it you got me to read a classic friends-to-enemies-to-lovers-and-was-secretly-a-princess story >:C
Oh, since I'm commenting anyway, I really wish I could blur my deadname irl :/
I came for one thing, got something a million times better,
The feeling of sadness
Spoilers below
When Ariadne was holding the character in her arms thinking they were dying, "arms tonite" by mother mother started playing, it made it a tad bit less sad
Ah, this bit. It's actually way harder than I originally expected, and I never noticed until now.
Hint: Check over Ariadne's words again. You should spot something, there.
Hi... um, I'm having the same problem and I have clicked EVERY SINGLE word on the screen... help? Please... cause if it ends on a cliffhanger I'm going to be super sad...
Don't worry! It doesn't.
Itch doesn't have spoilers, but I feel like I can just say the word is "Time." The dialogue formatting makes it unintentionally SUPER confusing ;w;
Thank you SO much! I finished it and it was beautifully written! I loved how it showed that time is fluid (much like my gender! (*cymbal sound, bu dum tss*) Anywho, it really (in my opinion) demonstrated how difficult it is to accept yourself and how your inner demons can be overwhelming to a VERY unhealthy point... 8/10
Hey there, I've been running into an issue where I choose Anastasia as my name, and then when I run into Adriane I introduce myself as Lilith instead.
My apologies!
Accidentally left some debug code running when fixing the latest bug. I've pushed a patch for it, and it should be fixed now.
Hey I think I found a bug and now I can't finish the story :(
I'm really loving it so far but right at a dramatic scene there seems to be a word link that doesnt progress the page and it just goes white and unclickable. Reloading save doesnt seem to do anything. I added a screenshot of the page via an imgur link so the preview wont show spoilers. Any update would be appreciated I'd love to finish your great story! <3

Whoops! Yeah, there's a lot of scuff in that chapter. Should be fixed, now!
Sorry about that! I hope you enjoy the rest, still <3
this story just left me really emotionally screwed up, in the best way. kind of feeling raw and scraped out, like it took a little bit of me to make room for itself, and i don't think i'll be quite over it for a few days. thank you so, so much for making it.
from the very first choice, i felt an immediate connection to the princess - my own chosen name(lilith) was one of the options to name her, and, upon choosing it, her reasons for taking the name mirrored my own so perfectly that i was just drawn in immediately. her fears and anxieties, her struggles, felt so personal to me throughout the story that i honestly felt a level of immersion that i never really have before.
this is exactly the story i've been yearning to read since i started exploring lgbt fiction. the characters' identities and sexuality, while core to the story, are still not what the story is *about*, the ending feels properly *earned*...it's not a happy, bigotry-free setting, but the bigotry is not the driving force of the conflict. it's not just another "out and proud and overcoming the *tragedy* of transphobia" narrative and i cannot appreciate that enough. I'm crying again just putting myself together enough to write this. this story has touched me immensely and i cannot wait to see what you put out next.
Thank you for your kind words <3
It still absolutely blows me away that something I’ve made can have this much of an effect, and I hope I won’t disappoint with what comes next.
This was fantastic, and resonated with me in quite a few ways. It was really well-written, I quite liked the characters, and generally speaking it was just a great time. That being said, while playing it I got to a point where (I'm going to try to be as vague as possible to avoid spoilers, since it was pretty close to the end) I got a few different things I could say, and I picked one that was a question to the tune of "who even are you?" I got the response to that, and then... nothing. No prompt for the next options. Waiting didn't seem to progress things, either. I assume that wasn't intended as an ending, so perhaps something went wrong? It would be a shame to have to start from the beginning (though I would be willing to do so, since, again, very well done), so I'm hoping I'm just missing something here.
Oh geez, that's a mistake on my part. I found the bit you were talking about, and it turns out I forgot a show tag in one of the options there.
Sorry you had to catch that in such a late chapter, but, based on the time I messed this up before, you should be able to load your save and keep going. I'm glad you've enjoyed it so far <3
Maybe it's where I am right now in my life but I wish I could summon just a hint of the courage you gave your characters, this really touched me and I can't even start to list the reasons. This piece of IF is something else, entirely. It's easily up there with award winning interactive fiction from when I followed the IF awards more closely. Thank you, this was an experience.
As soon as I dry these tears, I'm getting right back to twine to continue work on my next project. Thank you so much for your words, and I'm elated beyond any expression that you enjoyed the story. <3
This was great! The wording in the scenes really puts the reader in the story and makes you feel everything. Loved the ending and look forward to more from this author! also very nice balance of fluff and life threatening encounters <3
